🗣️ What Do You Really Think?

Skip the talking points. Here's what I believe

🔧 Inflation & Economy

The so-called “big beautiful bills” get airtime on cable, but back here in Southern Indiana, they land like a boot to the ribs. Prices are still up 18% since 2020. Eggs, rent, fuel—you name it. And while billionaires get new incentives for yachts and vertical farms, families are burning through savings just to buy the same groceries. The policies coming out of D.C. benefit the few. We feel the weight, they skip the bill.

🏥 Healthcare

Grandma loses coverage because her clinic’s no longer "convenient," while someone in a gated community gets a deduction for their private surgery concierge. That ain’t reform. That’s redistribution of care—from the vulnerable to the comfortable. We need rural access. We need dignity. And we need to stop treating patients like spreadsheet entries.

🛂 Immigration

You come in illegally, expect deportation. That’s law, plain and simple. But don’t lump in the folks working through the INS system—they’re following the process we built. They’re trying to earn a life, not steal one. Let’s enforce the law, not blur it. Border security shouldn't be a slogan. It should be a function of respect—for our country and for those doing it right.

⚡ Energy Policy

The people pushing renewable energy aren’t just selling windmills—they’re hiring welders, roofers, and electricians. Southern Indiana can reap the benefits. Solar jobs have grown five times faster than the national average. Let’s grab that opportunity, not let it drift to California or Europe. Green energy isn’t just eco—it’s economic.

💸 National Debt & Fiscal Responsibility

We’re $34 trillion in debt—and climbing. That’s not just bad math, that’s bad morals. Every unfunded promise today is a burden tomorrow. The current administration’s spending isn't investment—it’s indulgence. You want to help the country? Start with telling it the truth: we can't afford to play favorites when the whole house is on fire.

🤖 Artificial Intelligence

AI isn’t just chatbots and writing assistants. It's microprocessors, infrastructure, warfare, and surveillance. The problem is that the danger lives at the silicon level—before a single line of code is written. I believe in preemptive regulation: cut it off at the boardroom before it reaches the battlefield. Congress is asleep at the wheel while synthetic intelligence learns to drive.

🔐 Cybersecurity

Your tractor runs on software, and hackers know it. Cyberattacks on U.S. infrastructure rose 38% last year. They’re not just targeting banks—they’re looking at hospitals, schools, and yes, farm equipment. If we’re not prioritizing cybersecurity across every sector, we’re not protecting the country. Plain and simple.

🏫 Education

Want better schools? Pay teachers like you believe your kid’s future depends on it—because it does. Average teacher salaries in Indiana rank 38th in the nation. We hand out tax breaks to stadiums and let classrooms crumble. That’s upside down. Give teachers the resources, the respect, and the room to teach—not just survive.

🌍 U.S. Foreign Policy

If a democracy asks for help and they’re genuinely fighting to stay free—we help. Ukraine, for example, isn’t perfect, but they’re resisting invasion with grit. As for Gaza and similar conflict zones torn by civil war? We send humanitarian aid, not bombs. Our role isn’t dominance—it’s dignity. Help where asked. Don’t meddle where we aren’t welcome.

🔫 Guns

Own what you want. Truly. But you better know how to handle it and lock it up. I don’t want the government in your gun safe, but I do want law enforcement to raise an eyebrow if you’re walking past the ice cream shop with a bazooka. Personal freedom comes with public presence. If we act right, we keep the right.

👶 Abortion

Let’s stop treating abortion like a debate club topic. It’s a medical decision. I draw the line at viability—when a baby can survive outside the womb. Before that? It's between the patient and the doctor. After that? Deliver with dignity. No gimmicks. No grandstanding. Just hard choices made with care, not policy pressure.

🎖️ Veterans

They signed up, stood tall, and came home to bureaucracy, budget cuts, and forgotten promises. Veterans deserve our unwavering respect—and more than just lip service. From healthcare to housing to job placement, we owe them real support. Right now, too many are falling through the cracks. That’s not gratitude. That’s neglect. Fixing that isn’t charity—it’s duty.
